In 1984, Wally was
graduated, Juris Doctor, from Memphis State University (now University
of Memphis). While in law school he participated in moot court
and was named a member of the Moor Court Board. He also served
as graduate assistant to the University's legal counsel. He was
admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1984, and is admitted to practice in
the United States District Court, Eastern and Western Districts.
Since this admission to the bar he has practiced in Poplar Bluff and
Southeast Missouri. In 1987, he was appointed City Attorney for
the City of Poplar Bluff, a position he continues to hold. He is
a member of the Butler County Bar Association, and served as President
in 1999. He is also a member of the Missouri Municipal Attorneys
Association, and co-authored Chapter 15 "Municipal Taxation", of
Missouri Taxation Law and Practice, Third

He was graduated Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from OCU School of Law in May, 1996, and returned to Poplar Bluff to begin his legal career. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in October, 1996, and has practiced law in and around Southeast Missouri since that time. He served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Butler County from May, 2001 to September, 2005, and maintained his civil practice throughout that period.
He is currently the Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Poplar Bluff, a position he accepted in January, 2003. He is also a member of the Butler County Bar Association, and serves on the Three Rivers Community College Presidentís Advisory Council. When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelli, and three children - Mallory, Justin and Dylan, as well as hunting, fishing, golf and playing guitar.
